Cover Feature: Electrochemical Transformations of Methylxanthines in Non‐Aqueous Medium (15/2021)
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Cover Feature shows the chemical structures of caffeine, theobromine and theophylline behind friendly familiar image coffee, cocoa tea, representing main source these natural methylxanthines that have recently attracted attention as bio-based renewable starting materials for organic synthesis. Surprisingly, their electrochemistry in solvent has been only sparingly studied. Nonetheless, a few but successful examples selective green electrochemical transformation compounds encourage further studies applications. More information can be found Review by P. Di Matteo et al.

متن کاملElectrochemical biosensors in nonaqueous solutions and their applications.
This review first describes the invention of functional interfaces to promote biochemical redox reactions between substrates in dipolar aprotic solvents and enzymes or related compounds immobilized at the interface. The interfaces contain hydrophilic polymer membranes, a gold nanoparticle self-assembled electrode constructed by using rigid rod dithiols, and binary self-assembled monolayers comp...

Brain−computer interfaces (BCIs) hold great promise for improving information delivery and preserving user attention, but this promise has not yet translated to practical use. A prototype BCI that optimizes email notifications in noisy, complex environments, CARSON combines multiple measures from the brain to predict both cognitive workload and message relevancy to determine the optimum time to...
